Valon Berisha gave Kosovo the lead in the opening minute before the Three Lions hit back to lead 5-1 at half-time through Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho (two) and an own goal.

In the second half Berisha’s second goal and Vedat Muriqi’s penalty gave Kosovo hope while England captain Kane missed a spot kick of his own.

The Daily Telegraph describes England’s attack as “world class” and the defence as “second class”. The Daily Mirror has a similar theme saying the Three Lions were “lethal up front but a shambles at the back”.

“Kosmic” England were given a scare, says the Daily Star, but Gareth Southgate’s side march on in Euro 2020 qualifying with four wins from four matches in group A.
